With school being closed for the past 3 days due to the flooding in our area, I had very, very bored kids! So what do you do with 7 kids who are out of their routine? I decided on soap carving. Peter needed to complete that requirement in his bear book anyway, so we carved soap! I got IVORY soap because it is really soft and even the little boys could carve with butter knives and not hurt themselves! They were thrilled about being allowed to carve!

Wow, I am very impressed. That David is an artist with soap.
Fun activity! Sorry to hear about the flooding being in your area -- hope you're high and dry!
What imaginations y'all have! Good CLEAN fun, too!
How creative - for mom and kids!
This reminds me of my childhood. While mom was pregnant with Levi it was hard for her to get a nap. Soap and a butter knife were the next best thing to "Singin' in the Rain" to keep me occupied long enough for her to get a nap. I have to say that my carvings never turned into much though. : )
