My David is 12! We had a fun birthday with him, we went to a local waterpark in the afternoon than came home to eat Ramen soup (his choice) and had a birthday cake. It is a big birthday for David because today during priesthood meeting, David got ordained to be a Deacon by Michael. Peter wanted to see, so I brought him along with us to watch David get ordained.
It was very special.
We are very proud of David and love him very much!

Happy birthday, David! I can't believe you are 12 already.
What an exciting age... when James was born, I started thinking about all the milestones in his life (5, starts Kindergarten; 8, gets baptized; 12, gets ordained to the Priesthood), and then I realized that by the time James is a deacon, I'll be turning 40! That was a sobering thought... but I do think that women really peak in their 40's, so I'm actually looking forward to it. Happy Birthday, David!
David, you sure have grown into a boy to be proud of - glad you had a terrific birthday!
This is so neat... Leslie's ordination was fun to have the whole family congregate for. I can understand Peter's desire to be there!
