Backyard beauties

I have not been able to keep up with my vegetable garden for a few years, and my flower garden is currently non-existent also.  So I decided to let the vegetable garden go back to grass.  So Michael pulled up all the border bricks and stacked them up on the driveway.  Than we mowed the weeds down and the result was a lovely nice open space in our backyard.

I must admit that I really like it.  I don't feel as guilty about not having a garden when it is not defined with bricks!  I love the feeling of openness that we have now in the backyard.   Our forest friends are also enjoying the backyard also.  We took a few pictures of some of the various signs of nature that you can see in our backyard on a regular basis!

Bird... I know, I'm so specific!  Can you tell me?

Robin's nest in our plum tree.  It had 3 eggs in it earlier!

And of course, our resident bunnies.  This is a picture of one of them.
We usually have 2-3 that love our yard.

You have such a great yard. I can't wait to have a yard. (I know, I HAVE to wait, seeing as we are several years away from having one.) I always thought you were a big gardener, so this is a little bit sad to see the garden gone... but if you're not going to have a garden, you might as well not have a garden plot. Grass is much more practical.
