On Mother's Day, at 4:30 a.m., a tornado touched down in Carrollton. It caused a lot of damage in several neighborhoods. Ours was one of them. This house was 3 doors down from us. We spent the morning helping them clean it up. Luckily for our neighbors, no one was home when the tornado struck. They have elementary aged twin girls.
This street had downed power lines and trees. We couldn't even go down it.

People blockaded off streets and parking lots with everything.
Kmart used their shopping carts!

I'm so glad you all are safe and there was no damage to your home. I remember weathering hurricanes in Florida, and it's always a bit scary. It's nice you were able to help others, though.
Wow! Those are some crazy pictures. I keep expecting Iowa to have tornadoes (isn't that what the midwest is famous for?) but you are welcome to keep them all.
P.S. You should let David eat all the rice cereal he wants. It is so fortified with nutrients! It is really good stuff. We still mix rice cereal in every time we feed David or Hyrum applesauce. We try and sneak it into their food whenever we can! The boys don't mind at all.
Mother's Day was a great day because you have great kids. We love them so much! Each of them are so very special. Ofcourse, their parents are very special also. We, too, are grateful to our Heavenly Father for his hand of protection over you during the tornado.
